About the Team

The Quantitative Development team sits within Asset Management’s Quantitative Research and Investment Technology group. We partner closely with investment teams at Fidelity Asset Management Solutions on critical initiatives including portfolio construction, risk management, and alpha research. Our mission is to create high-quality, robust, and efficient solutions that enhance Fidelity's productivity and decision-making processes.

About the Role

As a Principal Quantitative Developer, you will blend investment management expertise with deep technical skills to deliver tangible results. You will be embedded directly within the quantitative research team, acting as a bridge between investment professionals and technology. Your work will focus on building high-quality, robust, and efficient analytical solutions that define risk for alternative investment processes.

In this role, you will lead the implementation of research projects through the entire software development lifecycle. You will add scale, rigor, and repeatability to research by applying software development best practices, while assisting research teams in developing new models and products that provide a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Success in this position requires the ability to intelligently apply advanced analytics to support investment needs and effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, from fundamental researchers to senior management.
