About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Business Analyst specializing in cost controls to serve as a senior advisor to leadership within a complex government program. This role is critical for guiding strategic project controls initiatives, delivering advanced financial insights, and ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DEAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). You will bridge the gap between technical project execution and high-level financial strategy, working directly with senior management and government stakeholders to optimize planning, scheduling, and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleLead and supervise project controls, financial analysis, and planning and scheduling efforts
- check_circleDevelop project baselines, milestone schedules, work breakdown structures, and spend plans
- check_circleConduct complex financial and technical analyses to develop alternative strategies
- check_circlePerform risk analyses, define corrective actions, and establish priorities
- check_circlePrepare and present financial and project information to senior and executive management
- check_circleAdvise stakeholders on business and financial matters related to FAR, DEAR, and CAS
- check_circleAssist with CASB Disclosure Statement and Incurred Cost Submission preparation and analysis

Requirements
- verifiedMaster's degree and 15 years experience OR Bachelor's and 18 years OR Associate's and 20 years OR high school diploma and 22 years in related field
- verified8+ years government contractor accounting compliance experience (preferred)
- verifiedKnowledge of GAAP (preferred)
Nice to Have
8+ years of government contractor accounting compliance experience. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
