The San José State University (SJSU) Student Wellness Center is seeking a Board Certified Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to provide 100% outpatient care for a diverse student population. This role exists to foster a preventive medicine–focused environment where physicians can enjoy a predictable weekday clinic schedule and meaningful time to connect with students.
In this position, you will practice primary care with a strong emphasis on student wellness. Your day will involve seeing low daily patient volumes while collaborating with on-site counseling, physical therapy, subspecialties, and laboratory services. Responsibilities include performing office procedures such as wound care, suturing, and cryotherapy, as well as providing sexual and reproductive health education, counseling, and care, including medication abortion services. You will also conduct sports, academic, and employment-related physical examinations as needed.
