About the Role

We are seeking two full-time Physicians to join our teams in Topeka, KS, and Junction City, KS (CBOC). These positions are dedicated to primary care delivery for a panel of veterans, focusing on the advancement of the Veterans Affairs mission through high-quality, timely healthcare.

As a member of the General Medicine Service (GMS), you will practice to the full extent of your education, training, and certification. Your core functions include performing and documenting healthcare delivery according to VHA and EKHCS PC standards, providing advanced clinical practice, consultation, and management. You will hold prescriptive authority for your assigned panel of patients or program as indicated by your clinical privileges.

Compensation and Benefits

The VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package designed to support your career and well-being. Compensation ranges from $225,000 to $315,000 annually, determined by a formal pay-setting process that considers your education and length of practice (Base Pay + Market Pay). This includes a competitive salary, an annual performance bonus, and regular salary increases.

Your benefits package includes:

• Paid Time Off: 50-55 days per year, comprising 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and a possible 5-day paid absence for CME.
• Retirement: A traditional federal pension (with 5-year vesting) and a federal 401(k) with up to 5% in contributions by the VA.
• Insurance: Federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care coverage, with many programs carryable into retirement.
• Education Debt Reduction: Eligibility for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) for student loan repayment (former participants are ineligible).
• CME Support: Possible $1,000 annual reimbursement for CME (requires full-time status and board certification).
• Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided.
• Contract Terms: No physician employment contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting.

Requirements

Candidates must possess one full and unrestricted license from any US state or territory. The role operates on a day shift schedule, with specific times to be determined upon selection.
