About the Role
A respected outpatient VA clinic in Alamogordo is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner to join a highly autonomous, patient-centered primary care team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for providers who enjoy continuity of care, chronic disease management, and working with a veteran population in a collaborative setting.
You will serve as an independent provider with your own patient panel, operating within a team-based PACT model supported by RNs, LVNs/LPNs, MAs, and administrative staff. The position focuses on veteran-centered, continuity-driven care, with strong integrated support from mental health and pharmacy teams. You will manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia, as well as provide geriatric care for patients with multiple comorbidities.
The clinic operates on a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no nights, weekends, or federal holidays. Optional 4-day workweek flexibility is available. The team utilizes the established VA system with the CPRS EMR.
