About the Role

This position serves as a PreOp PACU RN Float Pool role within our North Texas region, floating between our surgery centers in McKinney, Frisco, MCD, MCOS, Plano, Allen, and Anna.
As a valued member of the team, you will join our ambulatory surgery centers to plan, execute, and evaluate nursing care preoperatively and postoperatively until patients are discharged. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleEnsure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for patient procedures
- check_circleAdminister pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed
- check_circleConduct complete physical and psychological assessments of patient history and diagnostic tests
- check_circleEnsure patients meet all discharge criteria before release
- check_circleCheck patient dressings and operative sites, reporting abnormalities to the surgeon
- check_circleInsert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks using proper technique
- check_circlePrepare patients' care areas adequately before surgical cases
Requirements
- verifiedAssociate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing
- verified1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting
- verifiedActive RN license
- verifiedBCLS Certification
- verifiedACLS required within 30-days of hire
- verifiedPALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire
