About the Role
This position is designed for a PreOp PACU RN Float Pool nurse who will float to our surgery centers in the North Texas region, including McKinney, Frisco, MCD, MCOS, Plano, Allen, and Anna. As a valued member of the team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating nursing care for patients preoperatively and postoperatively until discharge. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleEnsure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for patient procedures
- check_circleAdminister pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed
- check_circleEnsure patients meet all discharge criteria before release
- check_circleConduct complete physical and psychological assessments of patients
- check_circleCheck dressings and operative sites to report abnormalities to surgeons
- check_circleInsert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks using proper technique
- check_circlePrepare patients' care areas adequately before surgical cases
Requirements
- verifiedAssociate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing
- verified1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting
- verifiedActive RN license
- verifiedBCLS Certification
- verifiedACLS required within 30-days of hire
- verifiedPALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire
