This role is part of the North Texas Float Pool, a dynamic team dedicated to the Surgery Ventures powered by HCA Healthcare. The position is designed to float across our surgery centers in the North Texas region, including McKinney, Frisco, MCD, MCOS, Plano, Allen, and Anna.
About the Role
As a PreOp PACU RN Float Pool nurse, you will join our ambulatory surgery centers to plan, execute, and evaluate nursing care from the preoperative phase through to patient discharge. You will be the vital link ensuring patients are prepared for their procedures and supported throughout their surgical journey. This role requires you to embody the values of our centers, providing quality care with warmth, compassion, and dignity.
Your day will involve preparing care areas, ensuring the availability of necessary equipment, and conducting comprehensive physical and psychological assessments. You will administer pre-operative medications and IV therapy, manage catheter insertion and maintenance, and monitor operative sites to report any abnormalities. Ultimately, you will ensure every patient meets discharge criteria before they leave our care.
