About the Role

The Pre-Finisher is responsible for using a variety of tools to prepare metal door and frame surfaces for powder coating. This role ensures that metal glazing beads fit each frame perfectly and that final surface preparation, such as sanding, is performed in accordance with required standard practices. The position operates within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail and adherence to safety regulations are paramount.

Working Conditions

This role is performed in an assembly plant or warehouse environment that can be dusty and may involve moderate to loud noise. Employees regularly work around welding operations and may perform overhead work. The position requires the ability to stand, stoop, walk, twist, bend, and lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), with occasional lifting of very heavy objects (up to 100 pounds). Production aids such as overhead cranes and forklifts are available to assist with these tasks. Personal protective equipment is required and provided. The role involves working under time pressure, requiring the ability to perform rapidly for long periods while communicating and interacting with others.
