This position serves as a vital component of our manufacturing and operations team, focusing on high-precision welding and assembly. The role exists to ensure the structural integrity and quality of our products, ranging from chassis preparation and crane assembly to truck and fuel tank construction. Success in this position requires a blend of technical expertise in welding various materials and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
You will work as part of a collaborative team, executing complex welding tasks on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel components using bench and MIG techniques. Your day involves reading blueprints and work orders to set up and assemble components, followed by grinding welds and performing quality checks to minimize scrap and rework. While much of the shift is spent standing on the concrete floor, the role also requires physical agility, including lifting, pushing heavy loads, climbing ladders, and maneuvering in tight spaces. Safety is paramount; you will strictly adhere to company safety manuals, utilize hoists for heavy pieces, and maintain a clean, orderly workspace.
Candidates must successfully complete a company-sponsored weld-training program and pass a weld test prior to receiving a job offer. We are committed to developing our workforce, so a willingness to cross-train on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as directed by supervisors is essential.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. All qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the US.
