The Texas Tech University Postgraduate Intercollegiate Athletics Internship is designed to provide college graduates with immersive, on-the-job learning experiences for those pursuing careers in intercollegiate athletics. This comprehensive program spans 12 to 36 months, offering a unique opportunity to develop as a future leader within the athletic department.
Reporting directly to the Chief Analyst, this position serves as a critical support function for the development and advancement operations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in administration principles, including applying ethical standards to policy, evaluating operational efficiency, and managing university resources to achieve organizational goals.
Day-to-day responsibilities involve managing monthly development officer reports, tracking major gift portfolios, and handling special list requests from the ARM database. You will also be responsible for tracking Master Prospecting Data across sports, regions, and giving segments, while ensuring all development officer activities and financial gift data are accurately recorded. Additionally, the role requires the timely entry of contact reports for Senior Associate Athletic Directors, events, and group meetings, as well as the management of follow-up plans within SharePoint.
