The Department of Pharmacology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a post-doctoral research associate position within the UNC Proteomics Core Facility. The position offers the opportunity to develop and implement novel methodological applications. Under the general direction of a senior or principal researcher, the post-doc will lead specific components of larger research programs. The day-to-day work involves meeting with collaborators to refine project scopes, designing experiments, and executing wet-lab method development, sample preparation, and LC-MS analysis. Additionally, the role requires thorough data analysis, report writing, and the active establishment of internal partnerships and external networks to support future funding opportunities.

Ability to operate LC-MS instruments, specifically Thermo Fisher mass spectrometry instruments (Thermo QExactive, Lumos). Experience with in-depth proteomics data analysis using MaxQuant, Perseus, Proteome Discoverer, and R. Experience in leading and overseeing research methods and techniques within the framework of the research program.
