The Post-Award Specialist serves as a critical liaison between departmental faculty and Research Accounting. This role provides deep, independent analytical and financial management for post-award research administration. You will support the Department of BioSciences with research accounting, grant and fund future spending projections, and reporting. Beyond research grants, you will manage accounts for faculty monies, University funds, and gift funds.
In this position, you will ensure compliance with sponsoring agencies, awards, and university policies for assigned faculty grants, funds, subs, and contracts. You will prepare various projections and financial reports for departmental faculty, the Departmental Chair, Executive Administrator, and the Accounting Manager, presenting these analyses to meet with these parties regularly.
