This position is dedicated to protecting and serving the campus community by enforcing applicable laws and college policies. As a Police Officer, you will promote a safe and supportive learning environment through proactive patrol, emergency response, and community-oriented policing practices. Reporting directly to the Director of Public Safety/Chief of Police, this role involves exercising no supervision while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and ethical judgment in all interactions.
This is a security-sensitive position requiring significant daily physical exertion, including lifting, awkward positions, and sustained activities. The role carries a significant risk of injury or loss of life, which is managed through strict safety precautions. Officers must be prepared to work in various weather conditions and respond to potentially dangerous or suspicious situations.
