About the Role
This position is the backbone of our community's safety, responsible for the enforcement of state and local laws. You will investigate crimes, collect and preserve evidence, and conduct interviews and interrogations to prepare cases for presentation in court. Your day will involve answering service calls, responding to critical situations, processing crime scenes, and serving warrants. Beyond the enforcement of the law, you will participate in community-oriented policing activities, working to build cooperative relationships with victims, suspects, and the general public.
The role offers a dynamic environment where you may work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. You will operate in both office and outdoor settings, utilizing specialized law enforcement protective devices and navigating potentially life-threatening situations. Success in this position contributes directly to the effectiveness of department operations and the broader enforcement of local, state, and federal laws.
