As a member of the Poison Center Team, you will serve as a critical link in the continuum of care for patients facing poisoning emergencies. Your primary mission is to appropriately triage all calls and inquiries regarding symptoms and signs of poisonings, providing management and treatment recommendations to consumers, health care providers, and other agencies. You will work under occasional guidance to ensure accurate information is delivered, followed by necessary follow-up calls to hospitals on all patients until they are discharged.
In this role, you will document an accurate history, symptoms, assessment, and recommendation or plan for every exposure case. You will be responsible for keeping accurate medical records, coding information precisely, and writing appropriate case notes. This position requires making critical decisions based on triage, the need for toxicologist consultation, and treatment recommendations, ensuring that every interaction contributes to the safety and well-being of the community.
Candidates selected for this role will be supported by a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance well-being and professional growth. The application process focuses on identifying professionals who align with our mission to advance health and wellness.
