About the Role
We are seeking a Plumbing Design Engineer to support a variety of long-term projects in a hybrid schedule. In this role, you will design comprehensive plumbing and fire protection systems, ranging from domestic water and sanitary drainage to specialized medical, laboratory, and natural gas distribution systems. You will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, performing system design calculations, and selecting appropriate equipment. Your work will involve coordinating with engineers from other disciplines, attending meetings, and communicating directly with clients to establish needs and discuss design issues. A key part of your mission will be incorporating sustainable design methods into our building projects.
Hiring Process
Qualified professionals with a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection system design are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Revit is required. Candidates should possess sound knowledge of mechanical/plumbing fundamentals and familiarity with relevant codes and standards, including IPC, UPC, CPC, ASPE, LEED water efficiency, and NFPA.
