As a Plumber, you will be a critical component of our facilities operations team, ensuring the integrity and functionality of essential heating, water, and drainage systems. Your work involves assembling, installing, and repairing complex pipe networks and fixtures according to strict specifications and plumbing codes. You will interpret building plans and working drawings to determine necessary work aids and installation sequences, ensuring that all structural obstructions are identified and avoided to prevent weakening of the building.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include cutting and threading pipes, bending them to required angles, and joining various materials such as iron, steel, brass, lead, glass, and plastic. You will install and maintain a wide range of fixtures, including sinks, commodes, water heaters, and dishwashers, while performing repairs on leaky faucets, burst pipes, and clogged drains. This role requires precision in locating pipe positions, marking passage holes, and testing systems for leaks using pressure gauges.
Candidates must possess an active Top Secret SCI with CI Poly security clearance to participate in the interview process. Please note that this position requires a Master or Journeyman Plumber License and at least 5 years of related plumbing experience.
