The Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery is a full participant in Surgery Centers located at both the Academic Medical Center and Community-Based Hospitals. This division benefits from robust resources, including the Institute of Population Health and the nation's only resident healthcare leadership program. The environment fosters collaboration between academic and community physicians, supported by a large cash-pay population and a growing Breast Cancer Surgery Center of Excellence.
We are seeking a seasoned or junior Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Faculty Physician to expand our clinical, research, and educational activities. This role is designed for a clinician eager to enhance Plastic Surgery across all domains in partnership with outstanding colleagues and forward-thinking academic and business leadership.
The incumbent will aid in the growth and delivery of a wide breadth of reconstructive and cosmetic surgical cases, leveraging a large established referral base within the Department of Surgery, Primary Care, and the Breast Cancer Surgery Center of Excellence. Key clinical domains include Level I Trauma, Breast Reconstruction, Body Contouring, Oncologic Reconstruction, a growing Head & Neck Program, and General Face & Body Cosmetic surgery. There is a strong desire to develop an elective microsurgery program to support multi-disciplinary initiatives for post-traumatic and oncologic reconstruction.
In this academic and teaching environment, you will educate Creighton University's surgical residents and medical students while conducting research in collaboration with scientists within Common Spirit and the Creighton University School of Medicine. You will report to the Division Chief of Plastic Reconstructive Surgery and serve as a key part of CHI-wide initiatives regarding delivery, quality, safety, and research.
