About the Team
The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center is led by three surgeons serving patients across the Seattle, Bellevue, and Federal Way communities. Our practice is comprised of a dedicated team including three plastic reconstructive surgeons and two experienced Physician Assistants. We cover the full breadth of plastic surgery, with a focus that is 80% reconstructive and 20% cosmetic, including breast reconstruction, microsurgery, body contouring, melanoma care, hand surgery, cancer reconstruction, and various cosmetic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleServe as a skilled first assistant in the operating room and procedural areas
- check_circleManage perioperative patients while they are admitted to the hospital
- check_circlePerform complete histories and physical examinations on plastic surgery patients
- check_circleComplete daily rounds on surgical patients and develop plans of care
- check_circleOrder medications and write prescriptions according to organizational policies
- check_circleProvide high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes
- check_circleCoordinate patient care, triage concerns, and communicate with other providers
- check_circleCollaborate with surgical and transitional residents rotating on the service
- check_circleParticipate in departmental programs, meetings, and professional training
