Archaea Energy is a leader in the landfill gas to energy industry, operating within the Gas & Low Carbon Energy sector. As part of the Operations Group, we are dedicated to transforming waste into valuable energy resources. We are seeking candidates with 1-5 years of operation and maintenance experience on mobile or stationary engine generator sets up to 1500 kW. Specific experience monitoring plant operations, performing maintenance and repairs on CAT G3500 and G3600 gas engines or similar piston engines, controls, generators, and ancillary equipment is highly desired.
The Plant Operator at Archaea Energy Services LLC is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems. This role ensures adherence to established procedures and cost-effective practices while driving proactive maintenance, risk mitigation, and overall plant reliability. You will be the frontline guardian of our operations, making cost-conscious decisions to optimize resource utilization and minimize waste. Your day-to-day involves vigilant monitoring of plant performance, collecting data, and responding to alarms or abnormal conditions with appropriate corrective actions. Beyond technical execution, you will actively contribute to a culture of safety leadership, identifying hazards and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. You will also support turnaround activities and assist in training less experienced operators, fostering a collaborative and skilled team environment.
Your employment with Archaea begins with a 90-day introductory period designed to support your transition and ensure a strong mutual fit. During this time, your supervisor will evaluate your performance, conduct, and reliability against the expectations of the position and the values of our organization. This period includes guidance and feedback to help you succeed in areas such as attendance, work quality, deadline adherence, and professional collaboration. At the conclusion of this period, your performance will be reviewed to confirm continued at-will employment. Please note that employment with Archaea is at-will throughout the probationary period and thereafter, meaning either you or the Company may terminate employment at any time, with or without cause or prior notice.
