About the Role
As the Plant Manager, you will serve as the ultimate operational leader for two Phoenix Stamping Group plants, reporting directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing. This role is designed to drive the day-to-day execution of strategy while ensuring the facilities meet or exceed company objectives across safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
You will act as the steward of the plant's P&L, managing production, maintenance, tooling, and material handling departments to optimize efficiency and output. Your day will involve balancing immediate operational demands with long-term strategic improvements, utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools and data-driven problem-solving to minimize costs and maximize productivity.
Beyond managing metrics like OEE and OTD, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety. This includes championing the plant's safety program, leading root cause analysis, and overseeing the professional development of supervisors and labor teams. You will also coordinate facility layout projects and ensure strict compliance with legal, environmental, and quality standards.
