About the Role
The NAP Sub Assembly Piper is a foundational role within RAE Corporation's refrigeration manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for the precision fabrication and assembly of piping sub-assemblies that feed directly into the main production line. The quality, consistency, and timeliness of each sub-assembly directly impact the efficiency of the entire assembly line.
You will become part of a skilled workforce that powers refrigeration solutions used across commercial and industrial operations nationwide. In this role, you will work in an industrial production environment, collaborating with production leads and assembly line teams to align daily work priorities with line demand. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically skilled, and capable of working at a steady production pace while maintaining strict adherence to engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleCut, ream, deburr, and prepare piping materials to specified lengths and tolerances
- check_circlePerform soft soldering and silver brazing operations on copper-to-copper and other piping joints
- check_circleClean, flux, and prepare joint surfaces to ensure sound metallurgical bonds and leak-free connections
- check_circlePurge refrigerant-grade copper lines with dry nitrogen during brazing to prevent internal oxide scale
- check_circleInspect completed sub-assemblies for dimensional accuracy and conformance to quality standards
- check_circleCoordinate with production leads to align daily work priorities with line demand and targets
- check_circleCharge labor time to correct work orders in IFS and complete required manufacturing paperwork
- check_circleOperate pipe cutters, tube saws, torches, and other assigned tools safely and proficiently
- check_circleMaintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area in accordance with 6S workplace standards
- check_circleTrain and obtain certification in DOT compliance when assigned by management
- check_circleFabricate and assemble copper piping sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications
- check_circleCollaborate with team members and supervisors to communicate progress and resolve production issues
Requirements
