We are seeking a Pediatric Genetics Physician to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary metabolic care team in Sacramento. This role sits within a collaborative environment dedicated to the evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of pediatric patients with metabolic disorders. The team includes genetic counselors, a metabolic nurse coordinator, a social worker, and a registered dietitian, all working together to provide comprehensive, family-centered care to CCS clients and partner closely with state programs like California's Newborn Screening Program.
This position offers a unique opportunity to practice bread-and-butter pediatric genetics while growing your expertise in metabolic specialties. You will care for children with a wide range of metabolic disorders, actively participate in the general genetics clinic, and provide consultation services to our thriving inpatient units. Our Children's Center hosts the largest NICU in Northern California, a 20-bed CV/PICU, and general pediatrics floors, allowing you to collaborate with a broad spectrum of subspecialists including neurology, cardiology, endocrinology, and gastroenterology.
Beyond clinical duties, you will have the chance to mentor and guide metabolic program operations, with future leadership opportunities as the program expands to include enhanced offerings such as ERT protocols. This role is ideal for a mid-career physician or new graduate passionate about improving health outcomes for children with rare and complex conditions.
