PHYSICIAN - Nocturnist (Hospitalist)

Essentia Health is a regional health system serving a service area that includes 25 clinics and 5 hospitals. The hospitalist team is built on a strong, collegial atmosphere, consisting of over 20 full-time hospitalists supported by NP staff. This role offers a collaborative environment where you can focus on providing top-quality care to patients without the burden of performing procedures, backed by access to specialty and 24/7 intensivist support.

About the Role

As a Nocturnist in Fargo, ND, you will join a dedicated team managing a patient load that includes cross-coverage for approximately 130 patients, admitting duties, and tele-hospitalist responsibilities. Typically, three nocturnists work together per shift to ensure comprehensive care. This position is designed for adaptable, collaborative team players who prioritize spending meaningful time with patients. The schedule operates on a 7/7 on/off rotation, covering 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with flexible options available to support work-life balance.

Fargo is centrally located on the border of North Dakota and Minnesota, just 3.5 hours west of Minneapolis/St. Paul.
