About the Organization

Union Community Health Center, Inc. is one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in New York State. Serving approximately 38,000 patients across six locations in the central Bronx, our mission is to integrate behavioral health into primary care. We aim to increase access to care, reduce the morbidity of both mental and physical disorders, and strengthen the treatment of mental health conditions within a primary care setting.

About the Role

We are seeking a Doctor of Medicine specializing in Psychiatry to join our team in an outpatient collaborative care model. This role focuses on treating depression and anxiety while providing short-term psychotherapeutic methods to children (ages 5 and above), adolescents, adults, families, and couples. The ideal candidate will be familiar with supportive therapy, motivational interviewing, problem-solving therapy (PST), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

As an Independent Contractor, you will work a schedule of one shift per week, either Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with no weekends or call requirements. New graduates are welcome to apply. Fluency in Spanish is required to effectively serve our diverse patient population.
