About the Role
The Hospital Leader On Duty is the heartbeat of our full-service veterinary hospitals, providing excellent veterinary care to patients and phenomenal customer care to their owners. This role represents the mission and values of Petco to all pets and pet parents, setting the tone for technical and customer support partners within the hospital.\n As a leader on duty, you will foster cohesion and motivation within the team while managing the daily operations of the hospital. You will be empowered to handle critical tasks such as inventory ordering and scheduling, ensuring the practice runs smoothly even during peak times or medical emergencies. This position requires a compassionate professional who can maintain a calm demeanor during stressful situations while serving as a vital link between the veterinary team, clients, and their beloved pets.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform patient restraint, collect laboratory samples, and dispense medications under veterinarian direction
- check_circleManage phone lines, schedule appointments, and relay test results to clients and medical staff
- check_circleOversee hospital operations and supervise paraprofessional staff during daily shifts
- check_circleMaintain a clean hospital environment and manage inventory ordering and scheduling tasks
- check_circleGreet clients and patients, obtain vital signs, and document patient histories in electronic medical records
