The Department of Neurology at Tulane University School of Medicine is driven by a mission to teach, innovate, and care. Our vision is to lead change in academic neurology, shifting the focus from survivorship to thriver-ship while cultivating a culture of joy. The department has partnered with Neurosurgery to co-lead the Center for Clinical Neurosciences, bringing together 31 employed faculty members. Through collaborations with the LSU Department of Neurology and community partners, Tulane Neurology and the LCMC Health neuroscience service line are developing a multidisciplinary Neuroimmunology/MS Center of Excellence to serve the greater New Orleans, Louisiana, Gulf Coast, and South-Central US regions.
This high-impact, open-rank position seeks a neuroimmunologist and multiple sclerosis neurologist to join our faculty. Reporting directly to the Department Chair, you will maintain an outpatient clinical practice at Tulane's main teaching hospital and supervise the resident clinic. Your role includes engaging in a small amount of inpatient general neurology teaching service, with a frequency commensurate with your peers.
You will operate within a robust academic environment that fully supports the tripartite mission. This includes mentoring and teaching Neurology Residents and Medical Students, actively pursuing clinical research interests with dedicated support, and delivering specialized, high-quality care to a diverse patient population through a dedicated MS and Neuroimmunology specialty clinic.
New Orleans offers a vibrant environment to call home. For more information about the city and its unique culture, please visit the local tourism site.
