We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join the team at Martin Army Community Hospital in Fort Benning, GA. This full-time position is designed for a professional who can exercise considerable skill, perception, and independent judgment in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will manage a wide variety of cases, often complicated by indistinct symptoms or overlapping conditions, across a patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric. The role requires the ability to make immediate, critical decisions to ensure proper diagnosis, treatment, and referral for life-threatening conditions.
Fort Benning is situated in the "Tri-Community" area, comprising Columbus, GA; Fort Benning, GA; and Phenix City, AL. Columbus, Georgia's second-largest city, offers a vibrant lifestyle centered around the 15-mile Chattahoochee RiverWalk, an excellent facility for biking, jogging, and leisurely strolls. The area is rich with cultural attractions, including the State Theatre of Georgia, the historic Springer Opera House, and the RiverCenter, which hosts the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and national Broadway tours. History enthusiasts can explore the National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus, the National Infantry Museum, and the Columbus Museum. This position is located at Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Benning, GA. We are looking for candidates to start work as soon as possible, ideally no later than spring/summer 2026. Suitable candidates include Board Certified emergency physicians or those who are residency trained with 4 years of emergency room experience. Family Medicine and potentially Internal Medicine physicians may also be considered if they meet the specific experience clause.
