About the Role

MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Orthopedic Surgery Center (OSC) is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to serve as the Associate Medical Director for its new center, launching in early 2027. This is a unique opportunity to join the inaugural team of a freestanding facility that will become part of a fully integrated Orthopedic Campus in the greater Portland market.

As the Associate Medical Director, you will partner with the OSC Medical Director, Nursing Director, and Administrator to lead the administrative and clinical operations of this growing center. The role is split between .8 clinical FTE and .2 leadership/administrative FTE. You will be tasked with helping develop the anesthesia model and team, serving as an integral part of the broader OSC care team. The new facility will feature four operating rooms and two procedure rooms, treating a variety of ambulatory orthopedic patients including joints, sports medicine, and other needs.
