This position offers a unique opportunity to join a department providing comprehensive Nephrology subspecialty services. The team manages inpatient evaluation of acute kidney injury (AKI), critical care consultation, continuous dialysis, acute and chronic dialysis, outpatient management of kidney disease, and postoperative/long-term management of kidney transplant recipients.
Prior Nephrology training is not required; we will teach the successful candidate the skills needed to work collaboratively and semi-independently with our providers. Our primary goal is to attract a candidate who enjoys working in a fast-paced inpatient and outpatient environment with a team-based approach. You will assist inpatient providers with new consults and follow-ups for patients with acute kidney injury and electrolyte abnormalities, evaluate dialysis patients, write inpatient dialysis orders, assist with charting and documentation, and support providers in the outpatient Nephrology clinic.
