About the Role

We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Nephrology Department. In this role, you will care for patients with chronic kidney disease and acute kidney injury in the inpatient setting under the supervision of and in collaboration with an attending nephrologist. You will be responsible for seeing and coordinating care for these patients, including evaluating new patients, conducting follow-ups, and monitoring kidney function and blood pressure control. Your duties will involve appropriate testing, evaluating medications, and managing the ordering, prescribing, and titration of treatments.

This position serves as a key provider in a multidisciplinary team approach to managing this patient population. It offers an opportunity for an expanded role in the outpatient management of chronic kidney disease, peritoneal dialysis, and home dialysis. Weekend coverage is required, typically 1-2 weekends per month.
