Advanced Surgical Mobile Eye Care is a successful, 27-year-old company dedicated to the "3 Os": Optical, Optometry, and Ophthalmology. We travel to local nursing homes across Florida, including Daytona, Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, Tampa, Lakeland, Orlando, and Sarasota, to bring essential eye care directly to patients who cannot advocate for themselves.
This position offers a unique opportunity to practice ocular and vision care within nursing homes and assisted living facilities. You will serve a vulnerable population that often suffers from undetected eye infections or poorly treated conditions, facing high rates of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and blepharitis. Many of these patients gradually lose their eyesight, making your role critical in diagnosing and monitoring their conditions.
Imagine the impact of providing care to patients who truly need it. You will be equipped with portable technology, including OCT, fundus cameras, B-scans, and visual fields, to diagnose and monitor eye diseases. The role is designed for those who are compassionate and passionate about ocular pathology, offering a practice mode distinct from conventional settings. You will witness the profound gratitude of patients when their eyeglasses are dispensed, often greeted with a big smile.
We are seeking a Physician Assistant for the Gainesville, Jacksonville, and St. Augustine areas. If you are interested in this specialized mobile practice, please apply with your credentials. We provide comprehensive training in the ophthalmic field and recommend obtaining COA or COT certification during your development.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a supportive environment for all team members.
