About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and knowledgeable Ophthalmic Tech with specific retina experience to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment and is passionate about supporting our physicians and patients. You will play a vital role in ensuring our clinics run efficiently, from managing equipment and supplies to conducting specialized testing and assisting with patient workups.
In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team that values organization, attention to detail, and excellent customer service. Whether you are calibrating advanced imaging equipment, administering treatments for dry eye, or assisting doctors with procedures, your work directly impacts the quality of care our patients receive. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAnswer and tend to patient questions in the office and over the phone
- check_circleSend patient information to the patient portal and schedule outside testing
- check_circleOrder back office supplies and inventory in assistance with the BO supervisor
- check_circleTrain new hires and students on office procedures and equipment
- check_circleAssist doctors with patient workups and Needles procedures
- check_circleConduct diagnostic testing including visual fields, OCT, fundus photos, pachymetry, and topography
- check_circleStock satellite offices and maintain, clean, and handle back office equipment
- check_circleKeep exam rooms organized before and after clinic sessions
- check_circleCalibrate ophthalmic equipment daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly as directed
- check_circleMaintain eye drop samples and contact representatives under supervisor supervision
- check_circlePerform administrative functions including front office and patient scheduling tasks as needed
- check_circleProvide physicians with necessary equipment and supplies for efficient clinic operations
Requirements
- verifiedMinimum of 1 year back office experience in Ophthalmology
- verifiedExperience working with a retina specialist
- verifiedCOA, COT or COMT preferred
- verifiedExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
- verifiedNextGen experience is a plus
- verifiedAble to work 2 Saturdays a month
