About the Role

We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN Physician Assistant to join the team at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a high-volume environment, supporting approximately 1,200 deliveries annually. The role is a hybrid of surgical and clinical care, covering both Obstetrics and Gynecology services.

As a Surgical First Assistant, you will play a critical role in the operating room, assisting with C-sections and emergent GYN surgical cases. Your responsibilities extend beyond the OR to include managing the OB/L&D and maternity floors, handling triage, and supporting inpatient and emergency room GYN consults. You will also assist with post-operative GYN rounding and management. The team is supported by 24/7 coverage from PAs, Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs), and OB MDs, ensuring a collaborative environment for patient care.

Hiring Process

Candidates must possess an active Massachusetts Physician Assistant license and PA-C certification. The credentialing process typically takes 30 to 60 days, though expedited options are available. Upon selection, you will be required to complete EPIC training to utilize the hospital's electronic medical record system.
