About the Role
As a Physician Assistant at Neighborhood Health, you will provide high-quality clinical services within a collaborative environment. This role exists to ensure that every patient receives comprehensive care through direct clinical engagement, from physical assessments and diagnosis to treatment and referral. You will work closely with the center's Physicians and Chief Medical Officer to deliver a team-based approach to patient health.
Your day will involve conducting patient histories, performing physical exams, and utilizing diagnostic tests to formulate differential diagnoses. You will prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with evidence-based protocols and the organization's formulary. Beyond direct patient care, you will play a key role in coordinating with nursing, behavioral health, dental, and pharmacy staff to maximize patient access to support services. You will also participate in peer review programs and health center committees to help drive continuous improvement in workflow and the quality of care.
