The Medical Assistant serves as a vital link in our Pediatrics Clinic, ensuring the efficient flow of patients through the healthcare setting. In this full-time position, you will facilitate examinations and treatments with a focus on culturally sensitive care and exceptional customer service. You will contribute directly to patient care by preparing patients for visits, performing limited procedures, scheduling diagnostic tests, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Your day will involve a blend of clinical and administrative duties designed to support physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team. You will greet and register patients, collect vital signs, and assist with special procedures as defined by your competency checklist. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of examination rooms, stocking supplies, and managing equipment logs. Additionally, you will handle clerical tasks such as scheduling, processing insurance forms, and electronically submitting prescriptions to outpatient pharmacies.
