The Department of Physical Therapy offers a highly regarded 3-year Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and 1-year Residency programs. The department is committed to team-based teaching and interprofessional education, with a faculty recognized for expertise as educators, scholars, and expert clinicians.
The Department of Physical Therapy invites applications for a 12-month, 1.0 FTE Instructor/Assistant Professor Faculty position with a primary focus on clinical education. This role is designed to contribute to the development of students as clinicians in all domains of professional practice while also supporting the growth of clinical education faculty as mentors and practitioners.
A unique aspect of this position involves clinical teaching at the Marjorie K. Ionta Physical Therapy Center for Clinical Education and Health Promotion. This pro bono center is dedicated to clinical education and offers comprehensive services to community members who may lack access to physical therapy care or whose insurance benefits have expired. Faculty in this role will help bridge the gap in care for these individuals while training the next generation of physical therapists.
Beyond clinical and course management duties, faculty members are expected to engage in advising, scholarship, and service, reflecting the Institute's commitment to producing leaders in the profession.
