As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Ambercare, you will play a vital role in helping patients relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum performance. You will work directly under the direction of a qualified Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care. Your day will involve directing and aiding patients in therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer activities, and the use of assistive devices like wheelchairs and braces. You will administer non-complex therapeutic modalities to clients with stable conditions, instruct patients in functional activities, and monitor their progress. A key part of your role involves documenting treatments in clinical notes and promptly reporting any changes in a client's condition to the supervising Physical Therapist or Director of Nursing.
