About the Role
The Security Officer delivers a high-touch, concierge-level security experience across Gap Inc.'s San Francisco Headquarters. Serving as frontline ambassadors of the Global Security organization, Officers ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional environment while protecting employees, visitors, executives, Board members, contractors, and assets. This role blends premium hospitality with disciplined physical security practices, including perimeter protection, access control, emergency response, and real-time coordination with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOversee security of assigned areas within the San Francisco corporate headquarters
- check_circleManage building access and enforce security protocols for employees and visitors
- check_circleInspect and monitor entry points, lobbies, and perimeter locations for compliance
- check_circleConduct regular interior and exterior patrols to identify safety hazards and risks
- check_circleIssue and manage access credentials including temporary badges and contractor passes
- check_circleRespond promptly to emergencies, alarms, and security incidents as first responder
- check_circleCoordinate with GSOC and external emergency services during incidents
- check_circleSupport implementation of emergency procedures including evacuations and shelter-in-place
- check_circleMaintain accurate logs, documentation, and incident reports in accordance with standards
- check_circleProvide concierge-level customer service while maintaining strict security standards
- check_circleParticipate in security briefings, post updates, and team training sessions
- check_circleOperate and monitor security systems including CCTV, access control, and radios
Requirements
- verified3+ years of security, concierge, or hospitality experience
- verifiedAt least 21 years of age
- verifiedValid driver's license
- verifiedPass motor vehicle background check
- verifiedPass criminal background check
- verifiedMeet all licensing requirements
- verifiedCPR/AED/First Aid certification (American Red Cross preferred)
- verifiedExperience with CCTV/VMS, access control platforms, radios, or security technologies
- verifiedExperience in a Security Operations Center (GSOC/SOC)
- verifiedTraining in conflict resolution, de-escalation, or customer experience
- verifiedExperience supporting C-suite leaders, Board of Directors, or VIP clientele
Nice to Have
