About the Role

As an Outpatient Phlebotomist, you will be the vital link between patients and the diagnostic process. Your role is to process patients requiring blood draws while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and focusing on patient care. You will provide positive communication with patients, hospital staff, and co-workers, conducting laboratory tests that provide critical information to physicians for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of diseases.

Your day will involve a dynamic mix of responsibilities, from performing phlebotomy at outpatient draw stations to traveling to nursing homes, assisted living centers, and healthcare clinics to serve adults, adolescents, and infants. You will interact professionally with laboratory management, physicians, and patients to ensure optimal care, while exercising strict safety precautions and adhering to OSHA and TOSHA regulations. Whether you are processing physician orders, handling special procedures like therapeutic phlebotomy, or driving lab courier vehicles to off-site locations, your attention to detail and ability to work independently will directly impact patient outcomes.
