We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist II to join our team in Wilmington, NC. In this role, you will serve as a vital link in our healthcare delivery network, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of patient specimens from collection to analysis. You will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, supporting our mission to promote employee and community health through precise diagnostic services.
Your day will involve a blend of direct patient interaction and essential laboratory support. You will collect a variety of specimens, including drug screens, biometric screenings, and insurance exams, while administering oral solutions according to established protocols. Beyond specimen collection, you will verify orders using lab technology systems, manage patient identification and billing information, and handle the processing of specimens through labeling, centrifuging, and preparation for transport. You will also maintain critical inventory, sanitize workspaces, and manage departmental logs to ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.
