The Department of Pathology is seeking a Phlebotomist 3 to join our team. This role is vital to our mission, ensuring the accurate collection and preparation of blood samples that drive critical laboratory analysis and patient outcomes.
As a Phlebotomist 3, you will draw and collect blood samples from patients, verify records, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. You will conduct interviews, take vital signs, and test blood samples, ensuring high-quality care for hematology and oncology patients.
A key part of your day involves interacting with patients by taking into consideration their age-specific, physical, and psychosocial needs. You will utilize laboratory and hospital systems to accession data, prepare samples for shipping, and manage inventory. You will also serve as a lead or back-up when the Supervisor is unavailable, assisting in the maintenance of hardware and resolving problems pertaining to test requisitions and patient results.
