The Department of Pathology offers an exciting opportunity for a part-time Phlebotomist 3. In this role, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to precision and patient well-being, drawing and collecting blood samples, verifying records, and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis.
As a Phlebotomist 3, you will interact directly with patients, tailoring your approach to their age-specific, physical, and psychosocial needs. Your day will involve conducting interviews, taking vital signs, and testing blood samples using prescribed techniques. You will utilize laboratory and hospital systems to accession data, prepare samples for shipping, and manage inventory levels. This position requires a high degree of accuracy in patient registration and the ability to resolve issues regarding test requisitions and specimen requirements. You will also serve as a lead or back-up when the Supervisor is unavailable, ensuring the smooth operation of the department.
