About the Role
Start your pharmacy career in a unique, hands-on role that goes beyond the typical pharmacy setting. At SOFIE, we specialize in preparing radiopharmaceuticals — life-saving imaging drugs used in hospitals and clinics across the country. As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll work side-by-side with licensed Nuclear Pharmacists in a clean, highly controlled environment to help prepare and distribute these important medications.
You'll gain valuable experience in sterile compounding, quality control, and pharmacy operations — all while making a real difference in patient care. This position involves working in a clean room as well as occupational exposure to radiation, requiring a high level of attention to detail and safety consciousness.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleComplete cGMP documents within the Quality Management System
- check_circleManage inventory levels and perform material acceptance according to SOPs
- check_circleDocument pharmacy complaints and notify the pharmacist immediately
- check_circlePerform aseptic operations including gowning, cleaning, and environmental monitoring
- check_circleExecute radiation safety duties per corporate compliance program and site licensing
- check_circleEnter data into Pinestar for end-of-day and daily dose management reports
- check_circleClean classified and non-classified areas according to standard operating procedures
- check_circleCompound, dispense, and distribute FDG and NaF radiopharmaceuticals
- check_circleEnsure compliance with USP <797>, <823>, <825> regulations and state pharmacy requirements
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma required
- verifiedAssociates degree in chemistry, engineering, or natural sciences preferred
- verifiedPharmacy Technician Licensure or Certification as required by state law
- verifiedExperience with sterile compounding and aseptic operations preferred
- verifiedEfficient in the use of MS Office Suite required
- verifiedAbility to work various shifts and weekends required
- verifiedAbility to lift ~50 lbs. required
- verifiedUp to 5% travel required
Nice to Have
Associates degree in chemistry, engineering, or natural sciences. Experience with sterile compounding and aseptic operations.
