Start your pharmacy career in a unique, hands-on role that goes beyond the typical pharmacy setting. At SOFIE, we specialize in preparing radiopharmaceuticals — life-saving imaging drugs used in hospitals and clinics across the country. Our mission is to support patient care by ensuring the precise preparation and distribution of these critical medications.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work side-by-side with licensed Nuclear Pharmacists in a clean, highly controlled environment. This position involves performing laboratory and pharmacy-related duties under direct supervision, including the compounding, dispensing, and distribution of FDG and NaF. You will gain valuable experience in sterile compounding, quality control, and pharmacy operations while managing data entry for end-of-day reports and daily dose management.
The role requires working in a clean room with occupational exposure to radiation. You will ensure aseptic operations follow internal procedures, customer requirements, and FDA regulations, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Additionally, you will provide quality customer service to physicians and healthcare workers, handling orders, inquiries, and complaints in accordance with state regulations.
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and ready to grow in a fast-paced, science-driven workplace. Success in this role requires the ability to be accountable, patient, organized, and a strong team player. You must be able to communicate professionally with colleagues and customers, maintain excellent attention to detail, and remain dependable in a highly technical environment. The ability to lift approximately 50 lbs and work various shifts, including weekends, is also required.
