About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician at Williamson Health, you will play a vital role in our patient care team, assisting pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs while maintaining accurate inventory and records. You will work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, ensuring that all tasks adhere to legal and safety standards.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of sterile and non-sterile compounding, handling hazardous medications, and operating advanced pharmacy automation systems. You will be responsible for unit dosing and managing controlled substances with precision. This role requires you to navigate a high-stress environment with mental alertness and attention to detail, frequently communicating with patients, families, and staff to meet diverse pharmaceutical care needs ranging from neonatal to geriatric populations. You will also foster a team environment by assisting co-workers and participating in the orientation and training of new team members.
