As a Pharmacy Supervisor, you will serve as a full-time certified pharmacy technician who bridges the gap between clinical care and operational excellence. In this role, you are accountable for performing day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities, ensuring an efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will lead, train, and coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers, making critical decisions regarding performance management, discipline, and team development.
Your day involves more than just processing prescriptions; you will engage directly with customers to resolve complaints, answer non-clinical questions, and anticipate needs to build strong relationships. You will assist the pharmacist in delivering patient care, including patient registration, medication preparation, and administering vaccines or health screenings where permitted. You will also drive the adoption of new technologies and processes, ensuring the pharmacy remains clean, orderly, and fully stocked while maintaining strict compliance with state and federal laws.
You will be an integral part of the Walgreens pharmacy team, working collaboratively with the Pharmacy Manager and Store Manager to analyze financials, improve operational quality, and enhance customer service. This role requires a leader who champions change, fosters team engagement, and maintains a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. You will participate in key meetings and act as a mentor to your team, ensuring everyone stays compliant with licensure requirements and company policies.
Candidates with a High School Diploma or GED, PTCB or ExCPT certification, and at least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician are encouraged to apply. Previous people management experience and a history of exceeding expectations at Walgreens are highly valued. The interview process will assess your operational knowledge, leadership capabilities, and fit within our team culture.
Walgreens is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
