As a Pharmacy Intern in San Juan, Puerto Rico, you will play a vital role in optimizing pharmacy operations and improving patient outcomes. This position focuses on analyzing medication utilization data, particularly for asthma and COPD therapies, to identify opportunities for clinical optimization. You will review utilization, adherence trends, and cost data to uncover therapeutic interchange opportunities among various respiratory treatments, including inhaled corticosteroids, LABAs, LAMAs, and combination products.
In this role, you will support the development of clinical tools and resources, such as new workflows and processes for inhaler selection. You will assist in creating clinical interventions aimed at reducing exacerbations, emergency visits, and hospitalizations, while contributing to the development of clinical documentation and workflow tools for utilization management.
