As a Pharmacy Intern in San Juan, Puerto Rico, you will play a vital role in optimizing pharmacy operations and improving patient outcomes. This position focuses on analyzing medication utilization data to support the development of clinical tools and initiatives. You will specifically analyze trends related to heart failure (CHF) therapies, reviewing utilization, adherence, and cost data to identify opportunities for therapeutic interchange and clinical optimization. Your work will directly contribute to reducing hospitalizations, readmissions, and disease progression.
In this role, you will assist in developing clinical interventions and documentation tools for utilization management. You will help create new clinical workflows, optimize guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT), and ensure consistent medication evaluation processes. This is an opportunity to apply your pharmacy knowledge to real-world challenges in a dynamic environment.
This role is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and operates under our Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Associates are required to be in-office 1–2 days per week to foster collaboration and connectivity, while enjoying the flexibility of virtual work to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of remote work.
